As a Lead Technical Program Strategist, reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering Operations, you will be responsible for defining and overseeing technical initiatives and success metrics. Your role will require a deep understanding of fundamental challenges, shaping technical specifications based on requirements, and collaborating with partners to devise comprehensive solutions. You will leverage your technical knowledge to understand product architecture, identify potential risks, and work on necessary mitigations to ensure the highest quality for our offerings and future developments. You will formulate plans, communicate progress, manage execution risks, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of initiatives and facilitate the planning and prioritization process in alignment with Exiger's Software Development Life Cycle.
- Develop and manage the roadmap in partnership with technical teams, including Engineering, Product Operations, and Data Science, focused on building and scaling Exiger products.
- Guide initiatives from ideation through strategy, planning, delivery, and launch phases.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify and define intricate project requirements.
- Establish and maintain project schedules by identifying and monitoring timelines, tasks, resources, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Create dashboards and reports to track project progress supported by relevant metrics.
- Coordinate meetings as necessary to initiate working sessions and resolve project challenges.
- Proactively manage dependencies and impacts, collaborating with other teams to eliminate obstacles hindering business and customer success.
- Prepare project presentations for executive leadership detailing project status and decisions.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members and stakeholders, escalating and communicating project/program status, issues, and risks, while interfacing with platform vendors and leadership to ensure project scope and deliverables are met.
- Ensure transparency and effective communication across the program team and stakeholders.
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in technical program management within a technology environment, leading cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred; or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong drive and ability to deliver value to the organization.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills conducive to collaboration; adept at working in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
- Ability to identify gaps in solutions, engage in technical discussions, and evaluate product versus technology trade-offs.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making with a willingness to delve into data.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proven experience managing large, successful cross-functional projects.
- Experience with process and change management.
