Position Overview:
At CHRIS 180, we are committed to offering round-the-clock support for unaccompanied minors under the jurisdiction of the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
We are in search of empathetic professionals to assist in delivering stabilization, behavioral guidance, and thorough case management for these at-risk youth.
As part of our Migrant Wellness Program, your duties will include providing direct care, ensuring the safety and supervision of the children, and fostering relationships through authentic support and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive role model and enhance self-esteem among the youth
- Address the wellbeing, educational, and mental health requirements of the youth
- Collaborate with various programs within our organization to ensure optimal care
- Maintain a secure and nurturing atmosphere for the children in our care
- Accurately document all incidents and appointments
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish
- High school diploma is mandatory; higher education is preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in child welfare is essential
- Experience working with immigrant or refugee communities is advantageous
- Candidates must be a minimum of 25 years old
- A valid driver's license is necessary
Compensation:
$20.00 per hour with a $1,500.00 New Hire Sign-On Bonus
Work Schedule:
On-site
The working hours will vary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a maximum of 40 hours per week. This position is funded by a grant and requires physical presence.
