Job Description

This 10-week internship is part of our award-winning HITT Futures Program. As a Commercial Construction Intern, you will support our project management team in various aspects of construction management, including:

  • Subcontractor and supplier coordination
  • Material tracking and file management
  • Progress updates and reporting for client review
  • Document control processes, such as drafting submittals, RFIs, and change orders

You will also assist in preparing bid packages, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, conducting preconstruction procedures, and collaborating with onsite superintendents and field-based teams.

Throughout this immersive experience, you will participate in social and networking events, weekly training classes, and corporate responsibility activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business from an accredited university
  • Previous industry experience, volunteer work, or work experiences (optional)
  • A passion for the construction and general contracting industry
  • The ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
