Construction Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, working on Commercial Construction Projects within EIG's core markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, and Commercial. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of EIG's Environmental Health and Safety Plan, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with the project team to understand and enforce contracts between EIG and Subcontractors, as well as EIG and DPR.
- Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in managing project schedules, resources, and risks, promoting efficient project delivery.
- Organize and prioritize tasks, delegating responsibilities to other Engineers, Field Office Coordinator, Project Accountant, and assigned project staff.
- Develop and maintain project documents, including schedules, reports, and other critical project information.
- Promote open communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring transparency and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, encouraging team members to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
- Manage project archives, maintaining organized documentation and facilitating easy access to project information.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- 2-5 years of MEP experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, demonstrating academic excellence and relevant knowledge.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- An ability to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, scheduling software, and BIM software, ensuring adaptability and technical proficiency.
