Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Finance and Operations Associate at New Heights Academy Charter School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school's procurement system, ensuring accurate accounting of financial records, and maintaining the copy center's equipment and supplies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to make a meaningful contribution to our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance:
    • Manage the procurement system, including processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Book purchase orders to the correct general ledger code and maintain proper documentation.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies.
    • Assist in implementing and monitoring the school's accounting policies and procedures.
  • General Finance Responsibilities:
    • Manage all purchases for the school, including coordinating with vendors and ensuring compliance with school policies.
    • Assist in the annual audit and provide support as needed.
    • Maintain a filing system for school documentation and ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Copy Center Responsibilities:
    • Maintain the copy center's ticket system and complete print jobs requests in a timely manner.
    • Ensure sufficient supplies of paper, ink, and other materials and maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Provide training and support to staff on school technology and equipment.
    • Respond to help desk requests and identify issues that require referral to the IT Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: AA/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in school operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
