Position Overview
The Veterinarian plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients while fostering strong relationships with their owners. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including conducting thorough physical examinations, performing surgical and dental procedures, and providing comprehensive client education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport with clients to understand their needs and preferences; conduct physical examinations and diagnostic procedures with a focus on delivering the highest quality care while minimizing stress for the patient.
  • Communicate examination findings effectively to clients, providing clear diagnoses and presenting tailored treatment plans; educate clients on preventative health measures, including vaccinations and nutrition.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all logs are updated according to established protocols; collaborate with colleagues for ongoing patient management.
  • Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in Continuing Education opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the support team to ensure the highest standards of care and exceptional client service.
  • Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and to the public.
  • Provide compassionate care, treating every client and patient with the utmost respect and empathy.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly attitude.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Respectful and collaborative approach to working with clients and their pets.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of veterinary practice and ethical conduct.
  • Experience in surgical procedures is advantageous.
