Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking a board-certified or eligible Chief Pediatric Urology Specialist to enhance our pediatric care services. As a leading academic medical institution, we provide comprehensive healthcare to a diverse patient population.

In 2020, we inaugurated the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility designed to transform pediatric healthcare in the region. Our commitment to excellence is further supported by the Charles P. Darby Research Institute, which fosters innovative pediatric clinical research.

The MUSC Children’s R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion is dedicated to pediatric services, offering a range of specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, and diagnostic imaging, all tailored for the unique needs of children. This facility ensures seamless access to essential services in a family-friendly environment.

Pediatric Urology operates within the Department of Urology, collaborating with a team of pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care, including prenatal consultations, inpatient and outpatient services, and surgical interventions. Our Urology Residency Program trains 15 residents and 2 fellows, ensuring the next generation of leaders in this field.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Completion of a Medical Doctorate, urology residency, and subsequent fellowship.
  • Pediatric Subspecialty certification by the American Board of Urology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pediatric Urology.
  • A proven leadership track record with aspirations to advance and enhance our program.
  • Interest in research and program development.
