In 2020, we inaugurated the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility encompassing 100,000 square feet and 250 beds, dedicated to transforming care for women and children in the region. Our institution is also home to the Charles P. Darby Research Institute, a major pediatric clinical research center, which empowers us to continually innovate in pediatric healthcare.
The MUSC Children’s R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion provides a comprehensive array of specialty clinics, outpatient surgical services, diagnostic imaging, and support services, all tailored specifically for pediatric patients. This facility is designed to ensure a seamless experience for families, featuring convenient parking and easy access to public transportation.
The Pediatric Urology department operates within the framework of MUSC’s Department of Urology, collaborating closely with all pediatric specialists to deliver a full spectrum of services, including prenatal consultations, inpatient and outpatient care, and surgical interventions. Our Urology Residency Program is robust, comprising 15 residents and 2 fellows.
Ideal Candidates:
- Completion of a Medical Doctorate, urology residency, and subsequent fellowship is required.
- Candidates must hold Pediatric Subspecialty certification from the American Board of Urology.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Urologist is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a commitment to advancing an exceptional program.
- Interest in research and program development is preferred.
