Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Automation Specialist to join our team at Quikrete. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation systems using AutoCAD and other software tools.
  • Program and test PLCs and robots to achieve optimal production rates.
  • Develop and implement electrical and mechanical prints for automation systems.
  • Conduct system testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure company standards and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Provide training and support to plant personnel on automation systems.
  • Collaborate with regional engineers and automation technicians to ensure automation systems are installed, debugged, and commissioned according to corporate specifications and standards.
  • Provide long-term support to plants, including remote support and on-site assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as robotics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC programming, robot programming, and automation system design.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and other software tools used in automation system design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
