About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate repair and improvement activities during unplanned downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Balance the workload of associates and interact with production equipment to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Operate and maintain highly automated equipment for manufacturing contact lenses, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct maintenance on equipment, including preventative maintenance and basic electrical/mechanical repairs.
  • Participate in high-performance manufacturing teams to address day-to-day technical process issues, focusing on improving technical proficiency and quality standards.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make effective decisions using the standard work format, ensuring alignment with production plans and objectives.
  • Supervise equipment for safe performance and address any unsafe acts or conditions promptly, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Verify downtime entries in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure accuracy and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct thorough verification of lot changes to maintain consistency and traceability in production.
  • Be responsible for SPC verification and manage sample pulls to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings and crossovers to ensure effective communication and coordination across teams.
  • Track and supervise weekly activities to ensure alignment with production plans and objectives.
  • Supervise Genie and heat map actions to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Prepare and report on Critical Performance Metrics (CPM) to supervise and improve operational performance.
  • Raise resource issues related to underperformance to ensure timely resolution and maintain productivity.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week (12-hour rotating day shift: 2 days on, 2 days off, and every other weekend)
