Department Assistant Leader

The Kroger Company is seeking a skilled Assistant Department Leader to join our team. As an Assistant Department Leader, you will be responsible for assisting with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department. You will also assist with managing cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store. Additionally, you will manage the scheduling of Front end associates to provide adequate department coverage. You will assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and assist with creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor. You will also assist in the development and implementation of department action plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department
- Assist with managing cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store
- Manage the scheduling of Front end associates to provide adequate department coverage
- Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews
- Assist with creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor
- Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a retail or grocery environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
