Medical Assistant Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to lead our clinical team at Trellis Health, a subsidiary of MaineHealth. As a Medical Assistant Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping our clinical practices and patient experiences from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Trellis Health clinic.
- Work under direct provider supervision to perform clinical duties in accordance with state medical practice acts.
- Collaborate with the care team to provide excellent and comprehensive primary care for patients.
- Set the standard of care for other Medical Assistants to follow.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant required.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Time management skills and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of medical products, terminology, services, standards, policies, and procedures.
MaineHealth is a health system whose members and affiliates include hospitals, physician practices, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, and support services.
