Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area HR and Office Management Specialist to join our team at US Foods. As a trusted advisor to our Area Staff and local management teams, you will drive field execution to support business objectives and ensure alignment of HR strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for the Area Staff, HR team, and local management teams on matters affecting the area.
  • Consult with Region and Functional Partners to optimize effectiveness, team cohesiveness, and ensure effective business decision making.
  • Conduct Area Employee Relations needs analysis and match HR solutions to identified gaps.
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders to influence business strategy based on a deep understanding of the business implications for the area.
  • Participate in key meetings with Business Leaders to bring HR expertise to business/operational discussions.
  • Drive improvement in overall team performance and direct talent planning/management.
  • Conduct investigations of complex Employee Relations and HR matters.
  • Advise Area Leaders on complex employee relations issues and manage risk effectively.
  • Support culture change initiatives and establish key change management strategies.
  • Work with Area Leaders to implement organizational structures and key capabilities required to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive effective Employee Relations activities to promote a positive work environment.
  • Facilitate and follow up on the development of implementation of action plans to address issues surfaced through employee surveys.
  • Engage effectively with Functional Partners and HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Provide insight into Area specific needs for training to Region Leadership and centralized talent management team.
  • Lead the HR team with demonstrated people leader skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at senior levels and deeper into the organization.
  • Direct experience leading HR.
  • 10% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process-based Employee Relations.
  • Experience in a labor-intensive industry that is highly dependent on employee and team-performance.
