We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and services, and we're seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Nursing Education Specialist in the Intensive Care Unit/Patient Care Unit (ICU/PCU).

About the Role

This key position plays a crucial role in education, staff development, and mentorship, promoting collaboration between academic and practice settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting continuous learning and professional development through provision of in-services, education program development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as competency assessment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs tailored to meet the needs of nursing staff, incorporating adult education principles and best practices.
  • Design and deliver training experiences that promote evidence-based practice and enhance clinical skills.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify educational needs and develop targeted solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, with a minimum of 3 years of ICU/PCU-specific experience.
  • Previous experience in designing, facilitating, and validating education or training experiences is essential.
  • Fully proficient in all areas covered in Basic Integrated Nursing General Orientation and able to instruct independently.
  • Proficient in EMR applications, workflows, and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred.
  • Unit-specific training certifications as required by the department operational framework.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $33.65 - $58.20 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Rutland Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
