Marketing Specialist

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to provide executive support to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and the MarCom team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience in marketing or communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage marketing projects, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to prioritize and assign tasks.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and resolve any bottlenecks.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Assist in tracking the marketing department's budget.
  • Monitor expenses, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement departments to process invoices and purchase orders.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents as required.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings and reports.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination for marketing-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in all interactions, both internal and external.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Consistently punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Approaches challenges with a professional attitude, seeking constructive solutions.
  • Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and professionalism in response to changing work environments and demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Familiarity with higher education marketing.
