Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Education Coordinator to join our team at St. Joseph Children's Home. As a key member of our residential program, you will be responsible for coordinating the educational needs of each client, providing a supportive and therapeutic environment for their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the child caring program by providing a therapeutic milieu during summer and holiday breaks.
  • Assume full responsibility for the operation, administration, and functioning of first shift staff.
  • Regularly meet with staff to develop successful strategies for development of effective study routines, school attendance, and positive motivation for residents in the school setting.
  • Attend all ARC, IEP, 504, etc. meetings for residents or ensure attendance by SJCH staff.
  • Act as primary point person for off-campus staff to contact when a resident is ill, suspended, or has any other need.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must have experience and solid knowledge base of student IEPs, special education services, and prefer experience working with the Jefferson County Public School system.
  • Experience preferred in providing appropriate care to clients, winning their respect, guiding clients in their development, managing a home effectively, and in the participation, management, and implementation of a treatment program.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $21.78.
  • Monday - Friday schedule.
  • $500 retention bonus after 90 days and $250.00 after 6-months of satisfactory service.
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401K/403b plan, short-term disability, long-term disability, paid vacation days, paid sick/personal days, and child care discount.
