Housing Support Technician Supervisor

Job Summary
The Housing Support Technician Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Senior Director in supervising the Housing Support Technicians. This position will also assist with the functional operations and light administrative functions of the residential program and facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of case managers
- Maintain chronological written records of events that occur during shift
- Maintain client and visitor sign-in/sign out log
- Ensure facility cleanliness, maintenance, health and safety of the facility
- Observe client behavior and report abnormal behavior to Supervisor
- Make periodic rounds of facility and grounds and monitor clients and visitors
- Monitor all clients and visitors activities
- Ensure fire and other safety measures are carried out and be familiar with basic functions of fire equipment, breaker panels and familiarize self with evacuation plans
- Ensure clients and visitors compliance with Volunteers of America policies
- Ensure that HST staff follow all rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Ensure that staff/clients have sufficient supplies
- Deal with incidents of low performance HST staff as outlined in agency policy and procedure
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma, or GED
- Two years post-secondary education preferred
- Two years prior experience in a residential facility (or other specialized knowledge and experience) and at least one-year supervisory experience required
- Valid ID is required
- Ability to be CPR certified, upon 30 days of employment
