Regional Property Management Assistant

In this role, you will support the Regional Property Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the region, visiting various properties, and assisting in the formulation of strategies and policies for the portfolio of communities managed by the Regional Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Address resident and agency inquiries to effectively resolve issues and concerns.
- Assist Community Managers with reporting obligations, including vacancy, property inspection, and budget reports.
- Guide Community Managers through the budget preparation process.
- Oversee individual properties during the absence of the Community Manager.
- Facilitate training for Section 8 Community Managers on accessing the EIV system.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and subsidy programs by monitoring community sites; conduct compliance checks for the regional Property Manager.
- Perform physical inspections of properties on behalf of the regional Property Manager.
- Represent the Regional Property Manager during agency inspections of properties as needed.
- Assist in the training of new Community Managers under the guidance of the Regional Property Manager.
- Report all emergency situations to the Regional Property Manager.
- Support the Regional Property Manager in maintaining a safe work environment and ensure adherence to occupational safety standards.
- Assist the Regional Property Manager with additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- A minimum of two years' experience in multifamily residential property management, with a preference for direct supervisory experience.
- Experience in multifamily residential leasing is essential.
- Accredited Resident Manager or a similar designation is preferred.
- A background in accounting/finance and administration is advantageous.
- Experience with Tax Credit, Section 8, and/or Public Housing is preferred.
- Experience as an IRM Community Manager is highly desirable.
Required Education/Training:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of two or more years of college is preferred.
- Possession of required certifications or licenses is preferred, or the ability to obtain them within one year is necessary.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Professional demeanor with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and access to a vehicle are required (exceptions may apply).
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily office-based, but travel to various communities within the Regional Manager's portfolio for training and site inspections is necessary.
Ability to navigate multi-level sites and potential exposure to cleaning agents, paint, and landscaping chemicals is required.
Weekend and evening hours may be necessary based on operational needs.

The displayed salary range reflects the targeted base salary for this position.
Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
