Position Overview:


As a key member of the Technical Services team at Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc., the Field Service Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support for a range of outdoor power equipment products. This role involves working closely with dealers and customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.

The Field Service Specialist will also be tasked with providing training and guidance to dealers within their designated area.

This position entails significant travel, up to 60% during peak seasons, to ensure comprehensive support for Scag Power Equipment products.

This role is designed to be remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:
Manage technical support inquiries from dealers and customers through various communication channels.

Engage with Pro-Gold Dealers in the assigned territory.

Efficiently prioritize and manage workload demands.

Collaborate with Scag Regional Sales Managers on service, warranty, and parts issues.

Assist dealers and end-users with troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.

Address parts inquiries from dealers and end-users.

Provide on-site support to dealers as necessary.

Adhere to corporate policies and represent Metalcraft professionally.

Complete field reports detailing issues and resolutions encountered in the territory.

Respond to customer inquiries received through various channels.

Coordinate and manage technical support complaints as needed.

Training Facilitation
Participate in dealer training sessions.

Contribute to the development of training materials.

Miscellaneous Duties
Assist in enhancing existing programs by evaluating objectives and suggesting improvements.

Support engineering and research and development with field requests as necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal);

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects;

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently;

Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset;

Proficient in presenting to larger audiences;

Ability to foster trust and maintain a positive demeanor;

Familiarity with outdoor power equipment and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Technical Services or a related field, or equivalent experience;

A minimum of 2-3 years in a relevant role;

Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, including the ability to interpret schematics;

High School Diploma.
