Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parking Lot Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Rose Paving LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of labor performance daily, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities of labor performance, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Operate and maintain various types of maintenance equipment, including asphalt patching and sealcoating machines.
  • Perform routine repair and maintenance of equipment, ensuring that all tools and machinery are in good working order.
  • Communicate daily with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that all projects are progressing smoothly and on schedule.
  • Ensure that all materials are installed per specifications for the project and all work is completed to Rose Paving standards.
  • Responsible for checking weather conditions daily and adjusting work schedules accordingly.
  • In charge of implementing appropriate traffic control measures at job sites, including signage and barricades.
  • Accountable for preventing the loading of company trucks that may result in overweight tickets.
  • Ensures that all work is completed within budgetary constraints and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Evaluates situations and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crews.
  • Acts as a problem solver to reduce work issues and assists workers in solving work challenges.
  • Estimates crews' hours requirements for completion of assignments.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activity of other fieldwork.
  • Builds customer relationships by introducing oneself to clients upon arrival to job sites.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintains a service and maintenance program on all equipment.
  • Participates in company's employee evaluation program.
  • Follows all company policies, including drug and substance abuse policy and sexual harassment policy.
  • Encourages and initiates cross-training when appropriate.
  • Investigates continuing education opportunities for personal and crew development.
  • Enforces personal and field safety protection while working.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in the areas of preparation and installation of seal coating, and a thorough understanding of Rose Paving's other services in the areas of asphalt repairs, cracksealing, catch basin repair, and parking lot marking work.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry.
