Job Purpose:

Oversee Field Crews to execute re-roof installations efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Field Crews
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production requirements by conducting interviews and selecting suitable candidates.
  • Provide comprehensive training to all crew members to meet safety and quality standards, including Toolbox talks and skills training.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to enhance the performance of Field Managers and crew members.
  • Develop and implement career development training programs for crew members and Field Managers.
  • Utilize training resources provided by manufacturers.
  • Manage tools and material requirements for each crew.
  • Review job scope, travel budgets, and hours with the Field Manager prior to project commencement.
  • Act as a liaison between the Field Manager and Project Manager, swiftly addressing and resolving any obstacles faced by crews.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Review and approve weekly timekeeping for crews, reconciling time with Geo Tab reports.
  • Review and approve monthly expense reports.
  • Monitor daily crew progress and labor against budget, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide feedback during project handoff regarding estimated hours.
  • Complete accident reports and investigate incidents as required.
  • Ensure all Field Manager checklists are completed and daily progress reports submitted to CRM.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience in commercial roofing, managing five or more crews.
  • OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain it within two months of hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Experience with Coatings, Single Ply, Hot, and Metal roofing systems is a plus.
  • Certa training is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily conducted outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Travel by car or plane is required 50-60% of the time.
  • Repetitive bending and stooping, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, is necessary. Operation of heavy equipment and lifting of heavy materials may occur.
  • Repetitive hand and forearm motions are required for data entry tasks.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for answering phones and interacting with customers and staff.
