Job Objective:
Oversee field teams to ensure efficient and safe re-roofing installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Recruit and select qualified personnel to meet crew requirements.
- Provide comprehensive training to ensure all team members adhere to safety and quality protocols.
- Conduct regular assessments to enhance the performance of Field Managers and crew members.
- Implement career development training initiatives for crew personnel and Field Managers.
- Utilize training resources offered by manufacturers to improve skills.
- Manage the tools and materials necessary for each crew's operations.
- Collaborate with Field Managers to review job scopes, budgets, and timelines prior to project commencement.
- Act as a communication bridge between Field Managers and Project Managers, swiftly addressing any obstacles faced by crews.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Verify and approve weekly timekeeping for crews, reconciling with Geo Tab reports.
- Review and authorize monthly expense submissions.
- Monitor daily crew performance and labor costs against budget, making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide insights during project transitions regarding estimated hours.
- Complete incident reports and conduct investigations as required.
- Ensure all Field Manager checklists are completed and daily progress reports are submitted.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience in commercial roofing, leading multiple crews.
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Familiarity with local codes and regulations is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Experience with various roofing systems such as Coatings, Single Ply, Hot, and Metal is a plus.
- Certa training is an added benefit.
Work Environment:
- Fieldwork is primarily conducted outdoors, requiring adaptability to extreme weather conditions.
- Travel by car or plane is expected 50-60% of the time.
- Physical demands include repetitive bending, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Data entry requires repetitive hand and forearm movements.
- Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients and team members.
