Cyber Forensics Specialist Job Description

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Forensics Specialist to join our team. As a Cyber Forensics Specialist, you will support the Cyber Forensics team in providing expertise in computer forensics, mobile device forensics, data and media recovery. Your responsibilities will include providing reverse engineering, intrusion analysis and methodologies, and vulnerability assessments. You will also conduct imaging on a variety of devices, including hard disk drives and mobile devices, and conduct forensic examinations to identify the root cause of cyber incidents. Additionally, you will provide technical reporting to explain complex forensic examinations to a wide audience. You will also perform risk analysis of software and provide mitigations for any identified risks, and perform data recovery to maximize the amount of useable data. You will also identify IOCs, TTPs and recommend appropriate counter measures. You will interact with and establish relationships with customers. You will have 3 + years of experience in digital forensics investigations, malware analysis, reverse engineering or cyber incident response investigations, and experience using forensic tools, such as Xways, Axiom, FTK, Autopsy, Zimmerman tools, or similar. You will also have experience conducting forensics analysis of operating systems, such as Windows, Linux/Unix, Android, MAC, or IOS, and knowledge of concepts and practices of processing digital forensics data. You will also have knowledge of industry best practices to preserve evidence integrity. You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Computer Science or other relevant technical field or additional 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. You will also have preferred qualifications, such as knowledge of data carving tools/techniques, skill in analyzing volatile data, experience in acquiring volatile data, the ability to develop forensic tools in Python, C#, C++ or C, experience with analyzing malicious data, and experience with analyzing software to identify risks/vulnerabilities industry best practices. You will also have a clearance requirement of Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph, and physical requirements of being able to remain in stationary position at least 50% of the time.
