Position Overview: Laboratory Technician

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to support analytical testing operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and document incoming samples for analysis.
  • Transport test samples to designated areas for processing.
  • Monitor and report on the availability of testing supplies to the Laboratory Manager.
  • Conduct testing of samples and quality control specimens, ensuring adherence to specified methodologies.
  • Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions, as well as calibrate necessary equipment.
  • Document and communicate results accurately, maintaining logs and records for traceability.
  • Ensure that all work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist in training less experienced staff as proficiency is demonstrated.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing duties.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience handling chemical and petroleum products.
  • Familiarity with online applications.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Ability to perform analytical tasks and convey results clearly.

Work Schedule: Standard working hours, Monday through Friday.
