Position Overview:

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to support our analytical testing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory services, contributing to our commitment to quality and safety in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming samples for analysis.
  • Transport test samples to designated areas for processing.
  • Monitor and report on the availability of laboratory supplies, ensuring that testing operations run smoothly.
  • Conduct testing of samples and quality control specimens following established methodologies, and review results against set specifications.
  • Prepare samples and quality control specimens, including the preparation and standardization of reagents and solutions.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning correctly.
  • Document and communicate results accurately, maintaining thorough records in compliance with laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support laboratory operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience handling chemical and petroleum products.
  • Familiarity with online applications and laboratory management systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
