Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a veterinary technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinary team in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care by performing physical examinations, taking vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed by our veterinarians.
  • Assist our veterinary team in surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to help diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, including creating treatment plans and monitoring patient progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and our veterinary team to ensure seamless care and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology or a related field.
  • Current certification as a veterinary technician (RVT, LVT, or CVT) or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
