Lead Engineer for Construction Materials Projects

Position Overview:

ECS Limited is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Senior Project Engineer specializing in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) to become a vital part of our field services team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of construction materials testing initiatives, which includes reviewing daily reports, collaborating with project teams, resolving technical and administrative challenges, and providing training to field personnel.
  • Administer project budgets, prepare invoices, manage payment applications, and support collection efforts.
  • Draft and evaluate proposals and change orders while prioritizing tasks according to project timelines; facilitate or participate in project meetings with clients and follow up on necessary reports.
  • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the overall development of your team, working closely with other managers and internal recruiters to make informed staffing decisions.
  • Effectively promote our services while fostering new and maintaining existing client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance for driving on behalf of ECS.
  • Strong marketing capabilities with a proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thorough understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a capacity to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
