Position Overview:

ECS Limited is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Senior Project Engineer specializing in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) to join our dynamic field services team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the successful execution of diverse projects while collaborating closely with clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery from initial proposal through to final invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction materials testing projects, including reviewing daily reports, collaborating with project teams, resolving technical and administrative challenges, and providing training to field personnel.
  • Administer project budgets, prepare invoices, manage payment applications, and assist in collection efforts.
  • Draft and evaluate proposals and change orders for your projects, prioritizing tasks according to project timelines; facilitate or participate in project meetings with clients and follow up on necessary reports.
  • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the overall development of your team, including working with other managers and internal recruiters to make staffing decisions.
  • Effectively promote our services while building new and nurturing existing client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance required for driving on behalf of ECS.
  • Strong marketing capabilities with a proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thorough understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
