Role Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory at **UNC Health** is in search of a Medical Lab Technician who will perform essential patient testing and provide necessary administrative assistance within our healthcare framework.
Key Duties:
- Guide patients on pre-test fasting requirements and respond to their questions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment effectively.
- Assist in training new personnel and students.
- Oversee daily laboratory functions.
- Conduct a range of standardized tests following established protocols.
- Prepare specimens, execute analytical tests, and keep precise records.
- Manage reagents, prepare necessary materials, and monitor inventory levels.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
● Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
Licensure/Certification:
● Certification eligibility based on educational qualifications.
Experience:
● No previous experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and procedures.
