The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) plays a vital role in preparing patient specimens for laboratory testing at Vidant Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform laboratory tests and monitor test results to ensure quality and validity
• Communicate results in a timely manner, particularly those that may be life-threatening to the patient
• Maintain properly documented records of activities
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years or more of formal training or education in Medical Laboratory Technology
• ASCP or equivalent certification desirable
• Less than 1 year of experience required
• 36 hours per week, Monday-Thursday (8 am - 5 pm), Friday (8 am - 12 noon)
