About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer with a primary focus on integrations with various systems within our architecture.

The engineer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions for our business. The overarching goal is to enhance the architectural and engineering sophistication of our business systems. This role is situated within the growth engineering function of the business systems engineering team.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce platform.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the use of out-of-the-box automation versus custom solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in business technology and cross-functional teams to provide solutions aimed at addressing business challenges.
  • Engage in hands-on development of applications using Apex, Visualforce, Aura, Triggers, and REST APIs.
  • Utilize VS Code, GitHub, and CI/CD processes to maintain code integrity.
  • Draft technical specification documents, including architecture diagrams, data model diagrams, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Work on user stories related to ongoing projects, technical debt, process optimization, and performance enhancement.
  • Coordinate with the sustaining team and proactively plan knowledge transfer processes.
What You'll Need
  • 7+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform.
  • 3+ years of expertise in Systems Architecture and integrations.
  • Experience in lead, contact, account, opportunity management, and campaign management.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Aura, and Triggers.
  • Solid understanding of developing lightning web components.
  • Extensive knowledge of APIs and integrations with Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with synchronous/asynchronous methods, streaming APIs, and publish/subscribe design patterns.
  • Comprehensive understanding of version control processes (check-in/checkout/merge/pull, etc.).
  • Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and branching strategies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or implementation experience of CI/CD processes.
  • Understanding of Salesforce governance limits and code coverage.
  • Ability to follow unit-testing best practices and code for both positive and negative scenarios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with marketing technology tools, preferably Hubspot.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and integrations.
  • Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) experience, preferably with Workato.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
