Role Summary

We are in search of a Senior Business Systems Engineer who will primarily concentrate on integrations with various systems within our architecture. This engineer will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams to implement solutions that will scale our operations. The overarching aim is to enhance the architectural and engineering sophistication of our business systems. This position is part of the growth engineering division within the business systems engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce platform.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the use of out-of-the-box automation versus custom solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in business technology and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aimed at addressing business challenges.
  • Engage in hands-on development of applications using Apex, Visualforce, Aura, Triggers, and REST APIs.
  • Utilize VS Code, GitHub, and CI/CD processes to ensure code integrity.
  • Draft technical specification documents, including architecture diagrams, data model diagrams, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Contribute to user stories related to ongoing projects, technical debt, process optimization, and performance enhancement.
  • Work in tandem with the sustaining team to proactively plan knowledge transfer processes.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform.
  • 3+ years of expertise in Systems Architecture and integrations.
  • Experience in lead, contact, account, opportunity management, and campaign management.
  • Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Aura, and Triggers.
  • Strong knowledge of developing Lightning web components.
  • Solid understanding of APIs and integrations with Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with synchronous/asynchronous methods, streaming APIs, and publish/subscribe design patterns.
  • Comprehensive understanding of version control processes (check-in/checkout/merge/pull, etc.). Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and branching strategies is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding or implementation experience with CI/CD processes.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce governance limits and code coverage.
  • Adhere to unit-testing best practices and be capable of coding for both positive and negative scenarios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with marketing technology tools, preferably HubSpot.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and integrations.
  • Integration experience, preferably with iPaaS tools like Workato.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
