Oncology Nurse Practitioner Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is a TeleOncology Nurse Practitioner role with Valor Healthcare, Inc., supporting the Durham VAMC. The job offers a remote/telework opportunity for 52 weeks with optional extensions.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will contribute to developing and managing complex oncology patient care in clinical areas and across services in the organization served. As a practitioner, they will provide high-quality patient care, serve as a role model, and participate in program development and management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary/specialty Oncology patient care through telehealth platforms
- Develop and implement programs to improve cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up surveillance
- Maintain current licensure and certification in their state of residence and professional affiliations
- Demonstrate leadership and accomplishment in delivering high-quality patient care and program development
Requirements:
- Master's degree from a nationally accredited nurse practitioner program
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in primary/specialty Oncology patient population
- Current, valid, and unrestricted license from any US jurisdiction
- Board certification by AANP or ANCC, preferably with Advanced Oncology Certified Practitioner (AOCNP) certification from ONS
- Specific focus on improving time-to-treatment related to Cancer Screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up surveillance
