Oncology Nurse Specialist

As an Oncology Nurse Specialist with US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities in Dallas, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to patients suffering from gynecological cancers. With a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based cancer treatment, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients.
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse and possess a current state license in nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required. A graduate degree in nursing is preferred.
This is a full-time Monday-Friday position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleThis role will involve assessing health status by interviewing patients regarding their current status and medical history. You will also assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Additionally, you will provide psychosocial support to patients and families, facilitating clinical operations and patient care.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material.
