Job Description

We are seeking three full-time faculty members to join our Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science (MSDS) Department. The successful candidates will be committed to supporting the full range of our students, including those in Early College, Honors, and developmental programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a minimum of 30 equivalent semester hours per academic year
  • Incorporate the use of platforms such as Blackboard and other relevant technologies into the development and delivery of instruction
  • Maintain an active program of professional development and seek ongoing growth in areas such as equity and inclusion
  • Serve on departmental, campus, and college committees
  • Hold office hours, advise students, and develop new curricula
  • Participate in grant activities and professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Coursework must include 18 semester hours of Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science at the graduate level
  • Experience teaching Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science within the last five years
  • Ability to integrate technology into course delivery and support student learning
  • Commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
  • Experience teaching a wide range of courses offered by the department
  • Ability to supervise undergraduate honors or research projects
  • Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Experience teaching or working in Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or an interdisciplinary context
