KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Design and maintain financial models and systems to evaluate and project company performance.
- Offer strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Track project financial outcomes against budgets, pinpointing areas for enhancement or risk management.
- Lead the ongoing forecasting process, collaborating with the team to create precise and attainable projections.
- Prepare regular financial forecasts to inform decision-making and resource distribution.
- Establish financial controls to ensure compliance with financial strategies.
- Supervise the generation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Guarantee compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations and accounting standards.
- Present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors, offering insights into financial performance and trends.
- Oversee cash flow to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Enhance working capital by monitoring accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels.
- Implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize risk.
- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management matters.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors as necessary to address complex legal issues and mitigate risks.
- Identify and evaluate financial and legal risks facing the organization, including market, credit, and contractual risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial and legal risks and protect company assets.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, legal regulations, and contractual commitments.
- Work with senior management and stakeholders to formulate long-term plans and objectives, including facilities and IT oversight.
- Provide financial and legal analysis to support strategic decision-making and investment opportunities.
- Assess potential partnerships, acquisitions, and growth opportunities from both financial and legal viewpoints.
- Guide and mentor the finance and legal teams, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear goals and expectations for the teams, providing regular feedback and performance assessments.
- Develop talent within the teams to facilitate succession planning and career growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or JD preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, legal oversight, and contract negotiation, ideally within the construction, design, or related sectors.
- Strong financial analysis capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Familiarity with legal principles, contract law, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of enhancing financial performance and mitigating legal risks.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in financial management software, legal databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
