Avionics Integration Specialist

About the Role:
Saratech is in search of an Avionics Integration Specialist.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the design of sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process, initial testing, and integration onto the actual aircraft, collaborating closely with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
This position also offers a chance to expand your professional connections and make significant contributions to the Saratech engineering team.Key Qualifications and Experience:
You will be accountable for the electrical integration of avionics modules and payloads into unmanned aerial vehicle systems. This includes the design of cables and wire harnesses that connect electronic components within the vehicle. You will also be responsible for creating system cable interconnect diagrams, point-to-point wiring schematics, detailing cable lengths, routing specifics, and compiling cable Bills of Materials (BOM). Additionally, you will conduct integration tests to ensure functional performance and generate test fixtures and procedures for system-level evaluations. You will apply fundamental technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve routine engineering challenges. Familiarity with relevant airworthiness and military standards is essential. You will document findings and implemented solutions effectively, communicating results to the project engineering team.

You are expected to maintain a safe working environment in accordance with established procedures and practices.Skills and Competencies:
Ability to rapidly grasp and learn new technologies, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. You should be capable of understanding and learning professional terminology, and be responsible, responsive, and accountable for your tasks.
Additional Requirements:
You must comply with all organizational policies and procedures, maintaining strict confidentiality of all customer and employee information to protect their rights. Adherence to policies regarding absence notification and PTO requests is required. Attendance at all mandatory management and staff meetings is expected, as well as representing the organization in a respectful and professional manner. You must also attend and comply with annual health, safety, training, and education requirements, and adhere to the dress code, ensuring a neat and clean appearance. A background check is a condition of employment.
Physical Demands:
The role requires following detailed complex instructions, reasoning, and problem-solving. Frequent communication and interaction with other staff members are necessary, and you must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

You should be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time.Occasional movement within the office is necessary to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
You will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as calculators, copy machines, and printers. Paid Time Off:
All full-time regular exempt employees are eligible for our Discretionary Time Off vacation policy after 90 days from their start date. The Discretionary Time Off plan is a non-accrual plan for employees.
All full-time regular non-exempt employees are eligible for our Paid Time Off Plan policy after 90 days, which accrues at a rate of 3.33 hours per pay period.
Paid Holidays:
All full-time employees will receive 8 paid holidays per year, with full-time non-exempt employees receiving an additional floater holiday.
Paid Sick Time:
All full-time and part-time employees will receive 40 sick hours per year or the minimum sick time required by state law.
