Mission: At Baltimoreculture, our mission is to foster meaningful connections through the arts, including movement, music, and theater, for individuals and communities of all ages. We curate a continuum of programs that enhance the social-emotional well-being of youth, families, and seniors.

Job Title: Video Production Specialist (Independent Contractor) engaged on a project basis.

Role Overview: Under the guidance of senior team members, the video production specialist will craft short video pieces (typically under 10 minutes) that highlight Baltimoreculture's community arts initiatives, intended for promotional and educational use, including grant proposals, presentations, training, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Baltimoreculture staff to discuss project concepts and desired outcomes.
  • Edit and compile raw footage into polished, engaging videos that reflect the organization's mission and goals.
  • Integrate various media, including images, video clips, and audio tracks, into high-quality video productions.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop video content strategies and creative concepts.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as necessary to enhance the visual quality of the videos.
  • Optimize video content for different platforms and formats, ensuring suitability for social media, websites, and presentations.
  • Maintain clear communication with Baltimoreculture staff regarding project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in video production, ideally within a nonprofit or creative setting.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro (experience with other editing tools is also welcomed).
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a group environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Compensation: Compensation will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis, dependent on the project budget, with rates ranging from $20 to $30 per hour.
