Senior Management Position - Commercial Department

About the Role

This senior management position will oversee the Commercial Department, reporting directly to the president of the company and managing a staff of around 20 people.

  • Provide strategic support and monitoring to optimize the workflow of our team and the engagement of our clients.
  • Grow the department while maintaining profitable and responsive service for commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field electricians, sales/project managers, and dispatchers for optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Select, train, and develop staff, as well as manage all employees in the department, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Support sales/project managers with project scopes, estimates, approval documentation, arrangements, installation strategies, commissioning, start-up, and monitoring, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Take ownership of the department's success and ensure integrity, both personally and professionally, upholding the company's values and mission.
Requirements
  • Background in electrical or construction management.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including profit and loss and balance sheets.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to estimate commercial projects and use estimating software, ensuring accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Ability to prepare detailed work scopes and interpret and prepare work contract specifications and requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Compensation

$85,000 to $105,000 per year, with the potential for a 25% performance-based bonus, recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance and contributions to the company's success.
