Propulsion Liaison Specialist

At SpaceX, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Propulsion Liaison Specialist, you will play a critical role in our mission to enable human life beyond Earth.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for the propulsion department, interacting with customers and other business development activities. This includes tracking vehicle certification activities, providing customer briefings, and reviewing actions and follow-up on customer requests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for the propulsion department
- Tracking vehicle certification activities
- Providing customer briefings and program status updates
- Reviewing actions and follow-up on customer requests
- Fielding customer requests and inquiries
- Prioritizing customer-related work and required engineering resources
- Maintaining a database of documents and responses provided to customers
- Maintaining relevant propulsion schedules for individual customers
- Supporting customer reviews as the propulsion liaison
- Answering questions and taking actions when answers cannot be provided
- Arranging additional engineering support for reviews when required
- Proposal content creation, review, and editing
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience interacting with commercial aerospace companies or government aerospace agencies
Preferred skills and experience include:
- Experience certifying commercial products for governmental use
- Liquid rocket engine development experience
- 3+ years of experience at a nimble engineering organization in a highly technical position
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics, compressible and incompressible flow, thermochemistry mechanics, and materials
- Professional experience using Siemens NX (Unigraphics), ANSYS or Fluent
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and the ability to perform basic analysis
- Positive attitude in the face of extreme challenges
