Advanced Subassembly Integration Specialist

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space technology to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As an Integration Technician - Advanced Subassemblies, you'll play a critical role in the final integration of the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in avionics and mechanical integration, with experience in installing propulsion components and avionics hardware. You'll work closely with production engineers to develop and document activities, ensuring all production services are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware
  • Use mechanical tools and precision-calibrated tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers
  • Perform hands-on operations with large and small, fragile assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities
  • Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of propulsion component or avionics hardware installation experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment
  • Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices; mechanical and electrical systems; propulsion engines
  • Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 5% of the time)
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
