SpaceX Integration Specialist

At SpaceX, we are pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Integration Technician on the Dragon spacecraft, you will play a critical role in delivering a fully assembled vehicle to the launch site.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in avionics and mechanical integration, with experience in pneumatic and avionics checkout activities. Your attention to detail and diligence will ensure mission success from launch to capsule splashdown, while also ensuring the safety of our astronauts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and test flight hardware.
  • Use precision calibrated tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Perform high-pressure pneumatic testing.
  • Collaborate with production engineers and quality personnel to develop and document activities.
  • Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the following trades: structures assembly, propulsion hardware assembly/test/installation, or avionics hardware assembly/test/installation.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environments.
  • FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license.
  • Experience in fast-paced production environments with flight hardware.
  • Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion engines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
