Job Summary

The Benefits Manager at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is responsible for overseeing the operations and effectiveness of group benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including Team Members, vendors, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze benefit program options to enhance effectiveness and make recommendations to management.
  • Create and implement Wellness programs and initiatives to engage Team Members in healthy choices and effective benefit utilization management.
  • Act as liaison with insurance carriers and brokers, fostering effective relationships and reviewing contracts to determine cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with the Risk team to manage leave and injury status reports, including return-to-work initiatives.
  • Oversee the administration of the 401(k) plan and serve as a contact for Team Members regarding group health plan enrollments.
  • Responsible for return-to-work initiatives for Team Members on FMLA, LOA, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment meetings and processes, and plan and organize semi-annual Wellness Events.
  • Oversee operational and transactional tasks required to administer employee benefits and COBRA enrollment, including claims resolution and vendor billing.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly Team Member eligibility reports, status changes, and terminations.
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence administrative function and provide back-up support to the Human Resources functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources and Benefits Administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Experience in benefits administration for 1000+ employees.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish helpful.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Benefits Administration and Human Resource functions.
  • Computer proficiency, strong knowledge of MS Office products (Excel important), and HRIS administration.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Department Managers, Team Members, and the general public.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
