About the Role:
The City of Reno is seeking a highly skilled Aquatics Specialist to join our team. As an Aquatics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our aquatic facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain aquatic facilities, including pools, water features, and related equipment
- Develop and implement water quality management plans to ensure safe and healthy water conditions
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of aquatic facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement programs and services for aquatic facilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons and respond to their concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as aquatic management, environmental science, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aquatic management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of water quality management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
