Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Senior Special Operations Communications Trainer IV to contribute to a high-profile program that delivers training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Special Operations Communications Trainer will:
- Assist in the planning, design, and analysis of training and exercises for Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF).
- Develop and deliver seminars focused on communications training.
- Act as a Communications Analyst/Trainer during joint exercises.
- Prepare detailed Communications and Knowledge Management observation reports during exercises.
- Provide expert guidance on Communications and Knowledge Management to Combatant Command and Theater Special Operations Command communications teams.
- Formulate observation and training plans.
- Collaborate with USSOCOM and TSOC exercise planners.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in a moderate to loud noise environment, including business offices and operational settings. Candidates should be comfortable working at a computer for extended periods and in various environments, including remote and rural locations.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, employees are expected to:
- Engage in sitting, standing, talking, and hearing.
- Utilize hands and fingers for computer operation.
- Drive in diverse environments, including urban and rural settings.
Travel Requirements:
This position may involve regular travel, including to remote overseas locations for extended durations.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- A minimum of 10 years of communications experience within the Department of Defense.
- Over 10 years of experience in exercise design and management of Joint Life Cycle events.
- At least 6 years of experience coordinating with training audiences to develop realistic training scenarios.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operational headquarters environments.
- Proficiency in various communication platforms and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military rank of E8+, CW3+, O4+.
- Experience as a platform instructor in a military education environment.
