Job Overview

Command Holdings is seeking a Senior Special Operations Trainer specializing in communications for a prominent program that offers training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The role of the Joint SOF Trainer is crucial in providing C4I, Defense Cyber Operations (DCO), and Knowledge Management (KM) frameworks for Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects during strategic and operational-level exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and analysis of Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and exercises.
  • Develop and deliver seminars focused on communications training.
  • Act as a Communications Analyst/Trainer during joint exercises.
  • Prepare Communications and KM observation reports for CJCS exercises.
  • Offer guidance on Communications and KM to Combatant Command and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) teams.
  • Create observation and training plans tailored to exercise objectives.
  • Coordinate with USSOCOM and TSOC exercise planners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Operate and maintain Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems at various operational levels.
  • Provide expert analysis and training to GCCs, TSOCs, SOJTFs, and JSOTFs to optimize the use of DoD C4I systems and KM Best Practices in support of global Special Operations forces.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate to loud noise levels typical of an office setting or operational environments.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer terminal.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and remote locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, talk, and hear while performing job duties.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer operation.
  • Capability to drive in various environments, including urban and rural settings.

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel expected, approximately 21-49% of the time.
  • Potential for travel to remote overseas locations for extended durations.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DoD communications.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in exercise design and management of Joint Life Cycle (JELC) events.
  • Experience in developing realistic training scenarios.
  • Proficiency in communications connectivity across various platforms.
  • Working knowledge of DISA DISN network services and related technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience at E8+, CW3+, O4+ levels.
  • Prior experience as a platform instructor in military education settings.
  • Availability to start within three weeks of an offer.
