Job Overview

Command Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Senior Special Operations Trainer to provide expert training and exercise support for U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This role involves collaborating with various military commands to enhance the planning, coordination, and execution of specialized training programs that focus on operational and strategic warfare levels.

The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge in Joint Sustainment and Logistics to deliver comprehensive training solutions. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research and analysis to support readiness and exercise initiatives for Theater Special Operations Commands and joint SOF Task Force Commanders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOF and Joint Enterprise training requirements through ongoing research and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Develop effective training materials and methodologies grounded in Adult Learning principles to instruct Battle Staffs on core SOF activities and joint HQ tasks.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with operational and strategic planners within USSOCOM and related organizations to ensure cohesive exercise design and execution.
  • Assist in exercise design, planning, scenario development, and training evaluations.
  • Utilize the ADDIE model to assess training needs, create relevant materials, and deliver both in-person and online training sessions.
  • Review and critique event concepts to align with mission objectives and operational planning.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate to loud noise levels typical of an office or operational environment.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to operate in confined and remote locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Engagement in various physical activities including sitting, standing, and operating a computer.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive in diverse environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel (21-49%) may be necessary, including potential assignments to remote locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 10 years of experience in Joint sustainment and logistics.
  • 8 years of tactical and operational-level sustainment/logistics experience.
  • 6 years of experience in joint operations and planning.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior military experience at E7+, CW3+, O4+ levels with sustainment expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Universal Joint Task List and experience in operational headquarters.
  • Experience advising military leaders on sustainment support strategies.
