Resumen del Puesto:
El APRN o PA-C, bajo la supervisión de los médicos, será responsable de:
- Realizar exámenes físicos y gestionar la atención médica de pacientes en cuidados paliativos, incluyendo nuevas consultas, admisiones, seguimiento y alta de pacientes según el protocolo del hospital.
- La cobertura principal será en el campus de East Orlando, aunque puede requerirse cobertura ocasional en otros campus de Central Florida.
- Proporcionar manejo de síntomas para pacientes, incluyendo dolor, constipación, náuseas, vómitos, disnea, delirium, ansiedad y depresión.
- Ordenar e interpretar pruebas diagnósticas apropiadas, como laboratorio rutinario, radiografías, etc.
- Monitorear el curso del tratamiento del paciente y realizar referencias apropiadas a médicos o especialistas según sea necesario.
- Colaborar con médicos y trabajadores sociales para ofrecer atención consistente a los pacientes y apoyo al personal.
- Demostrar una actitud profesional y compasiva en todo momento, manteniendo el crecimiento personal y profesional.

Educación/Experiencia Requerida:
- Título de maestría en Enfermería o estudios de Asistente Médico.
- Experiencia en cuidados paliativos, hospitalización en UCI u oncología.
Licencias, Certificaciones y Registro Requeridos:
- Licencia APRN o PA válida y actual en Florida.
- Certificación ANCC, AANP (o equivalente) o NCCPA.
- Certificación actual de BLS y ACLS.
- Licencia DEA válida y actual.
