Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgery PA-C or APRN-RNFA to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a key member of our cardiovascular surgery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting in the performance of cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including vein and radial artery harvesting, and first assisting with CABG, valve, aortic, and thoracic surgery.
  • Provide patient and family education, answer questions regarding surgery, recovery, and risk factor modification.
  • Obtain and perform history and physical examinations, record and interpret pertinent data, and write orders and discharges.
  • Manage patients pre- and post-implantation for Ventricular Assist Devices and Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and manage patients undergoing Trans Catheter Valve Procedures.
  • Participate in rounds, complete discharge summaries with medication reconciliation, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required.
  • Practicing experience as a cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery PA required.
