Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive Officer to join our Ocean Marine team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with external partners to market and sell Travelers products.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
  • Develop and execute agency sales plans and partner with the Managing Director to develop region/group sales plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four to six years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in Ocean Marine.
  • Deep knowledge of Ocean Marine products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze available information to make timely decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate in difficult situations.
